Fantastic experience: I’ve been studying here for 8months, class contents are absolutely practical. Teachers are great. I learned a lot not only English on its own but also what it is to get to learn a new language.

Positive experience: I studied at this English school and had a mixed experience. While there are definitely some positive aspects, there were also some issues that impacted the overall quality of the experience. Pros: ✅ The teachers are very good — friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in helping students improve. ✅ The school has a warm and familiar atmosphere. Because it's not overcrowded, you can get more attention during classes. ✅ You don’t need to buy textbooks; they are available in the classrooms for use, which is a helpful bonus. Cons: ❌ The school is located in an old building in Cork city centre. The heating system is poor, which is uncomfortable during winter. Fantastic experience: Comecei o curso há 2 dias, estou gostando bastante, aulas muito dinâmicas, professor animado, escola com boa localização, equipe bem atenciosa.

Negative experience: The new director is awful and unfriendly. Most teachers are kind and helpful but some are not very professional. Classmates are nice. Sometimes the content of teaching is too simple and easy like baby school. The expense is not worth the price.

It is a great language school, all teachers are very kind, helpful and helped me and all students improving my english skills. In class I joyned, I met great fellow students. Positive experience: Buena escuela. El valor precio-aprendizaje es acorde. Las instalaciones de sanitarios un poco descuidadas (no jabon/papel). Profesores muy amables y comprometidos, se ve que la escuela se preocupa por mejorar y poner atención a los alumnos. El ambiente es muy agradable, los grupos son muy mixtos y eso ayuda a que se aprenda mucho de todos y a practicar con diferentes acentos. Fantastic experience: Patrick's English Academy is a small a Academy but with a high quality, i invite to any person who dicide to improve your english language to test their quality yourself. I consider that the facilities are good enough for have classes a day. They use their own process to choose your level and give you feedback if you need it, there are a few activities after school and they bringth you all neccesary stuff for your classes. There are opportunities to improve your quality but honestly i found the school good, thanks to Teacher Anna i can reach my C1 in a shore time. Definitely, she is a great teacher. Just for say, everyone has their own way to learn, so be focus on your targets and keep going until you get it. Thanks to Patrick and Sophia for helping me in all my process.

Fantastic experience: 我是拿打工度假簽證來愛爾蘭的台灣人，申請Patrick's English Academy 的8週課程＋4週的住宿，雖然是個小學校，但好處是華人很少，可以認識各國的人，而且職員都很樂意幫忙學生處理任何問題，像是我工作跟後續找住宿都需要推薦信，學校都很願意幫忙。有需要列印的文件，學校也可以付費印。 我是上早上的課程（9:15~12:30），抵達學校第一天會根據能力分班，課程進行方式主要是練習對話跟聽力，但也會有課本教一些文法，也會分組跟同學討論某個主題，每月下午都會有不定時的研討活動，比如說雅思的準備技巧、發音課程、發表技巧、寫作技巧等等，時長大概半小時到一小時。 Patrick's English Academy 的CP值高！非常適合作為打工度假的新手村，歡迎有興趣的台灣人可以寫信聯繫他們！他們回信都很快速。

Positive experience: It's a great school with very good teachers. The only thing that made me not give it 5 stars is the fact that they don't have all the levels in both shifts (morning/afternoon) and that the curricula gets a bit repetitive if you do the 25-week course. But still, warm people and lovely environment. Thank you for having me!

Fantastic experience: In my experience, I am very satisfied with the classes, the human group and the quality of the classes. When I arrived in Ireland I didn't speak English at all and I finished my first course very well. I have been studying for a long time but school was the most important thing, I found teachers who adapt to different teaching dynamics. At the beginning the group was smaller and then as we progressed the groups were growing, meeting people from other places and being able to understand each other I think it is a great opportunity to learn more. Fantastic experience: I studyed in Patrick's English Academy in 2023, in a 8 months course. I moved from Brazil to Ireland, having to face new burocracy and routines, but Patrick and his team always give support and advise in how to deal in these new situations. The English classes were good and had a mix of people from different nationalities, which make me advance in a new language, but also learn about different cultures.

Fantastic experience: Estudei 6 meses na Patrick English Academy e, se eu tivesse renovado o meu visto, teria renovado na mesma escola. É uma escola pequena, mas que esta em expansão. Quando entrei haviam apenas 2 turmas, sendo que a quantidade de alunos eram menores se comparadas à outras escolas, mas hoje em dia ja possuem outras turmas. Tive bons professores no período em que estive lá. O primeiro livro não é dado, mas fica disponível para utilização durante a aula. Sempre que necessário, os professores entregam materiais adicionais para utilizarmos em sala, e também entregam uma fotocopia das paginas dos livros se precisarmos para fazer alguma lição (ou tiramos foto para evitar impressões desnecessárias). No começo achei estranho não ter o livro, mas depois me adaptei, e ate comemorei, quando mudei de nível e não precisei gastar para comprar o livro do outro nível, como é feito nas outras escolas. Durante esse período, tivemos algumas aulas diferentes, com apresentações, cafe da manhã num restaurante local, visita a pontos turísticos, visita a biblioteca, gincana entre salas e 'café da manhã' na escola, no qual cada um trouxe um prato típico do seu pais. Pude estudar com pessoas de diferentes nacionalidades, como Italia, Mongolia, Espanha, Argentina, Chile, Botsuana e claro, Brasil.

My experience went well, they help you with everything from finding a flat to administrative procedures and if you have any difficulties! And the lessons with Sanda were great, the classes are very interesting and we talk a lot to develop our confidence and the class groups are very small. Fantastic experience: I joined Patrick's Academy a year ago and I can not explaing how good decision it was. I am still attending classes even if I got my C1 certrificate last year(for which I was really preprared thanks to Patrick), because I feel that I am learning new things everyday.

Fantastic experience: 100% recomendable tanto si lo que quieres es prepararte algún examen o simplemente mejorar tu nivel de inglés, como es mi caso. Empecé con ellos en febrero de 2021 y sin duda alguna continúo y los recomiendo. Su método es muy diferente (positivamente) a los que utilizan en otras academias en las que he estado. Estudia en casa y resuelve dudas y afianza en clases. Te facilitan todo tipo de material para estudiar y aprender. Asimismo, Patrick y tu profesor está siempre disponible para dudas. Y las clases son con grupos reducidos, 100% prácticas y en inglés, muy amenas y divertidas. Aprendes y mejoras día a día sin darte cuenta. Igualmente, el trato e implicación es excepcional, tanto por parte de Patrick como por parte de las profesoras. En estos meses he tenido 3 profesoras diferentes, lo cual es interesante, pues cada una tiene un acento y forma de dar la clase un poco diferente. Ello te permite no acomodarte a un acento o dinámica concreta y los grupos de compañeros también han ido cambiando. Si tienes algún problema de asistencia o de discordancia de nivel del grupo puedes comentarlo y lo solucionan tan pronto como sea posible.

Fantastic experience: Si buscas mejorar tanto tu inglés como hacer algún tipo de examen, esta academia es perfecta. Llevo dos años con ellos, me preparé el B2 y ahora voy a por el C1, así que la recomiendo 100% puesto que el método de enseñanza es muy bueno, las clases son muy amenas y sobre todo muy prácticas, al igual que el material es muy útil para el día a día. En cuanto a los profesores he de decir que son excelentes,por ello, me gustaría dar las gracias a Patrick y a Aoife, he aprendido un montón con ellos y me han ayudado mucho.

Fantastic experience: Para todos aquellos que estéis buscando un curso de inglés para prepararos el examen First Certificate B2 o Advance C1, está academia, con profesores nativos, es ideal para vosotros y especializada para Españoles. Aquí tendrás todo el material, vocabulario, gramática, consejos... para pasar el examen. Patrick está haciendo un muy buen trabajo adaptándose a realización de cursos completamente online usando las nuevas tecnologías. Además los precios son súper competitivos.

Fantastic experience: Recomiendo al 100% la metodología de enseñanza aplicada por Patrick y por todo su equipo. Como hispano parlante y español, puedo decir sin duda, que una de las carencias de las que adolecemos en España, es la falta de práctica del speaking. Con el método usado en esta academia, empezarás a practicar desde el minuto uno a base de preguntas y respuestas, repeticiones, e interacción directa con el profesor y con tus compañeros. Sin duda, un lugar perfecto para romper la barrera del bloqueo a la hora de hablar.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Patrick's English Academy. No matter what level you have, you will learn both everyday English and, if you want, English for exams. His method is great and makes you look over things that appear in the class constantly. We learned gramme through conversation and I found that really important.

Fantastic experience: Llevo 9 meses en la academia y desde el principio me encantaron las clases. Con juegos, debates y aprendiendo cosas nuevas, las horas se pasaban volando. Tiene clases enfocadas al inglés general y clases enfocadas a prepararse los ejercicios del examen. En general, todas las clases se enfocan más en el speaking (que es dónde solemos flaquear y no podemos practicar por nuestra cuenta), en la pronunciación, en los fallos comunes y además cada semana introduce idioms, slangs y phrasal verbs nuevos, que se repasan todos los días. Además, tiene su propio libro muy bien esquematizado con un montón de vocabulario y ejercicios para estudiar por nuestra cuenta. La filosofía de la academia es ayudarnos a estudiar por nuestra cuenta proporcionándonos el material y teoría necesarios; y enfocar las clases a la parte oral, repaso de lo aprendido y dudas. Patrick se preocupa por sus estudiantes y siempre nos pregunta qué es lo que necesitamos o cuál es nuestro objetivo para enfocar las clases lo máximo posible a conseguirlo. Lo recomiendo 100%.

Fantastic experience: Llevo más de un año en esta escuela y sin duda puedo decir que es la primera vez que siento que estoy aprendiendo de verdad. Estuve en varias escuelas y nunca tuve esa sensación. Esto se debe a la metodología que utilizan y la dedicación absoluta de los profesores que forman esta academia. Probé varias antes de encontrar esta con resultados bastante malos y cuando empecé en Patrick's English Academy empecé a hablar inglés y a entender muchísimo mejor. Los profesores son increíbles profesionales, yo estuve supercontenta con mi profesora Aoife, y el trato por parte de Patrick es insuperable. These classes were very practical, dynamic and detail-oriented. The small groups allow for personalised teaching and the teacher was very good at correcting our mistakes. Fantastic experience: Academia totalmente recomendable. Grupos pequeños, Patrick tiene su propio libro que a mí me ha parecido muy útil y práctico, las clases son dinámicas y se focalizan mucho en la parte oral, así que genial, muy contenta!.

Fantastic experience: ¡He aprobado el C1! Fui a Cork a una estancia de 6 meses con el objetivo de aprobar el C1 de inglés. Fui a conocer Patrick Academy y el entusiasmo de Patrick me hizo apostar por su academia. Él tiene su propio método, y ¡funciona! Las clases son orales y repasan, entre otras cosas, el vocabulario que él mismo ha seleccionado porque suele salir en los exámenes. Patrick sabe muchísimo español así que tiene un libro diseñado para nosotros. Para que te hagas una idea, el primer capítulo se llama "típicos errores" con todos los errores que solemos cometer los españoles cuando hablamos inglés. Yo los cometía todos al principio. Ahora, como he contado, tengo el C1. Cada semana nos hacía entregar un writing de forma que, en pocos meses, yo ya había escrito varios ejemplos de essay, formal letter, report… El éxito de Patrick está, creo yo, en que él ha pasado por todo el proceso cuando estudió español. Tiene una actitud muy positiva ante el aprendizaje y se te pega. Además, él no es el único profesor de la academia. Él diseña y dirige el aprendizaje pero a mí, por ejemplo, me tocó otra profesora, Orla, y ha sido ella quien ha estado allí en cada clase teniendo paciencia conmigo. Les estaré siempre muy agradecida.

Fantastic experience: Do you want to improve your English and have fun at the same time? Patrick´s English Academy is the best option. One friend recommended me to study English there and the only thing I regret is not having been part of it before. As there are no more than 6 students per class, it allows you to interact all of the time and take the concepts in easily.

Fantastic experience: If you really want to learn how to speak English don’t waste your time and join Patrick’s academy! I attended their classes for around 10 months and I truly can say that the teachers in the academy are both great and professional people. They are very determined and they follow a good method in order to make us learn properly. Actually if were not for my teacher I wouldn’t be able to learn so much as I did.

Fantastic experience: I was taking classes with Patrick in order to get the CAE certificate, and I can tell his method really helps. The way you learn through his classes is impressive. And real. No vocab lists. Most of it is through speaking, and somehow you keep the new stuff fresh in your head. I would definitely recommend taking his classes. Even if you only want to improve your english. Fantastic experience: It was just six intense months and Patrick turned to be the best teacher I never had. In my opinion his method is the best way to learn English without even notice. He was always making sure that everybody was learning with his face to face method where you were leaving the class with new vocabulary, expressions and feeling more confident each day. Patrick is not only good at improving your English but also to pass your Cambridge English certificate, he provides you all he has to success. I would highly recommend him to everyone.
