Negative experience: Fui totalmente enganada por essa escola quando estudei. Eles me venderam um curso, comprei o curso na época do intercâmbio. Quando comecei a estudar me trocaram para um prédio pior, os funcionários totalmente sem tato para lidar com os alunos, pessoal do marketing, piorou. Prédio com estrutura horrível, ensino baixo, escola começou a lotar, começaram a trocar todos os bons professores. Pior experiência! Sério! Vão para qualquer uma de Limerick, menos essa. Positive experience: I had an excellent experience working with Samara, the agent who helped me come to Ireland for my English course. From the very beginning, she was incredibly supportive and professional, guiding me through every step of the process. What really stood out was how helpful Samara was even beyond the application. When I arrived in Dublin, she gave me clear instructions on which bus to take and exactly where to go, which made everything so much easier and less stressful. Everything worked perfectly thanks to her guidance. I truly appreciate her dedication, patience, and attention to detail. I highly recommend Samara to anyone planning to study abroad!

Negative experience: I applied for a course here, but my Irish study visa was refused in November 2025. I requested a refund immediately, but it has been over 3.5 months and I still haven't received my money. I have already reported this school to English Education Ireland (EEI) and will continue to escalate this until my funds are returned.

Fantastic experience: A Limerick Language Centre faz um excelente trabalho ao criar oportunidades para os alunos além da sala de aula. Recentemente, participei do evento Big Day, que foi extremamente bem organizado, com palestrantes inspiradores, incluindo ex-alunos que hoje são empresários na Irlanda, além de atividades culturais e ótimas oportunidades ao longo de todo o dia. É possível perceber que a escola realmente se preocupa com o desenvolvimento dos alunos e com a construção de uma comunidade forte em Limerick. Negative experience: I am writing this review to express my deep frustration with Limerick Language Centre. I have been waiting for a refund of my registration fee for over a year now, and despite my numerous attempts to contact them, I have received no meaningful response or resolution. It is incredibly unprofessional for an educational institution to ignore a student's legitimate refund request for such an extended period. I feel completely let down by their lack of communication and accountability. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before committing any funds here, as their administrative support is non-existent when it comes to returning money.

Negative experience: My visa refused back in November 2025 and i am waiting for responce for my refund but no replied from admin i emailed them more then 20 times but no reply

Negative experience: This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences we have ever had. We paid thousands of dollars to this language school but never attended because a visa was not approved. After an exhausting number of follow-ups, Lais Fernandes explicitly confirmed in writing that a partial refund would be issued in full, at once, starting on a specific date. That date came and went. No refund. No explanation. Since then, they have completely disappeared. Emails are ignored, phone calls are never answered, and there is zero accountability. Once they have your money, they simply stop responding. At this point, this no longer feels like a delay — it feels misleading and deceptive. Any legitimate school should be reachable and should honor written refund commitments. This one does neither. I strongly question how this organization operates and whether it should be trusted at all. If you are considering enrolling or sending money, think very carefully. Getting your money back may be impossible once they have it.

Negative experience: Broken Promises and Silence: The Dark Side of This Language School Student Name: Shengheng Xu Student ID：2405015 Your finance staff member, has completely stopped responding to emails as if he has disappeared. This attitude clearly shows no intention to resolve the issue. The school staff told me that I needed to pay the tuition fee before I could submit my visa application. So, I paid 2,900 euros for the course.
I’m someone with 15 years of experience working in international 4A advertising agencies and several Fortune 500 companies, and my financial situation is completely stable.
However, my visa was unreasonably refused. After that, Ms. Han from the school’s admissions office helped me start the refund process. The school’s finance department first replied saying my documents were incomplete, then said the refund was being processed — and eventually, they just stopped replying to my emails altogether. I’ve already found several other victims with the same experience on social media in China, and I’m sure there are many more.
If the school still refuses to keep its promise, we won’t rule out hiring a professional team to defend our rights locally. Lastly, I want to say to anyone who’s planning to apply to this school — please protect yourself. Don’t believe the one-sided promises made by this school or its management. As of today, not a single person from the school — including its management or anyone from their social media accounts — has contacted me. The entire school remains silent.
And I want to make it clear — until they face legal consequences, I’m not going to stop here.

Negative experience: I’m not happy with the course. In the month I’ve been there, I’ve had four different teachers. A lot of time is wasted, and there’s very little progress. In reality, it’s not 15 hours a week. It’s easy to use ChatGPT. So far, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, but I’ll let you know if my perspective changes by the end of the course.

Positive experience: The school has some really great teachers (especially Affaf and Alan, who are caring and really encourage students, specially to speak). The team and the other students were also wonderful. However, I was a bit disappointed because, since my course was only four weeks, I expected to be more challenged. I felt I was the most of time in the wrong level, like it was nice the class, but I didn't feel chalenged, it was more review some points, and basic conversations. The most frustrating part was the host family I booked through the school. They say it's a great way to practice English, to live the irish culture, but it was nothing like what was advertised. There was no real interaction with the "family" either, it was nothing "welcoming". They didn’t show any interest in talking to me, and the conversations only happened if I asked questions (it felt more like an interrogation than a real conversation). The house appears more like a hostel than a host family, with about more 7 other students, most of them in groups, and half of my time there, all of them from the same country, with no real interest in socializing or speak to others. I also noticed some different treatment between students of different nationalities or from the company/course.. Beside this, there wasn’t a proper space to study until the last week when I was moved to a different room. The cleanliness and food were good. I recommend the school, but I’d suggest being really careful when choosing accommodation, as it can have a big impact on your overall experience. And pay attention in your level, specially if you are for a short time and really focused in English.

All I get is generic emails but no actual action. I would have given you ZERO stars if I could. Absolutely disgraceful given that you have been more than 20 years in the business.

The team is really friendly, especially Lais Matias and Martin, who helped me with everything when I was registering. They are very professional and always willing to assist. The classes are engaging, and even though they are 4 hours long, they never feel boring because of the different activities we do. It was truly the best decision I made to study English at this school. The location is perfect, as it is close to everything, and the prices are affordable. Fantastic experience: I started my course at LLC in the beginning of February 2025, and it's been a great experience so far. All teachers I had contact with were respectful, and even though each one has its own way to teach, they're all well qualified. During these two months and a half, I've noticed the school is always looking to improve its quality, as an example we now have another building, this time located at Limerick's main street, O'Connell Street, and it is a spacious, renovated Georgian building. One of my favorite things in LLC is the "Social Activities", they usually take place every Monday and Friday, and it can go from having a quick Gaeilge (Irish language) class, to going bowling with schoolmates (with a special discount), or even learning how to prepare to a fluency exam (like TIE or Cambridge).

Negative experience: Don't risk using this school. If you have visa issues, and it is finally rejected , (reapplying and waiting can take over 12 months), you will not receive a refund. They will keep all of your money

Fantastic experience: My experience was not so good the first 2 weeks because in that short time I had 4 different teachers but from the 3rd week onwards everything improved. I now have a regular teacher and she is very good. I love your classes and the good vibes of all the teachers and administrators.

Positive experience: First of all, the atmosphere in the school is warm and welcoming. From the first day, i was received with professionalism. Everything about the school is clearly explained. And the reality is matching it. The teachers are nice, professional , and available. Great capacity to listen to the student's need, and help them. Negative experience: Leaving my comment here because the teachers are great, but the school administration is terrible. They don’t listen to the students and are always making excuses. They ended my course before the classes actually finished, and when I took a test to move up a level, they didn’t update my certificate because they made up “new policies.” This wasn’t the only issue I faced. The director showed favoritism between me and another student, as they are both native Spanish speakers. The other student behaved completely inappropriately in the classroom, and nothing was done—only asking me to “keep the peace.” As a student and immigrant, I can say that the Right Word school is indeed the best in town. I never had any problems there and always had great teachers as well. I switched schools because I’d always heard good things about this one, but actions like those of Director Helena and the rudeness of Sorcha make me disagree with the recommendations.

Negative experience: Si quieres aprender inglés no recomiendo esta escuela. Llegue en agosto y al principio tenían buenos profesores, luego los profesores cambian constantemente ( en mi casa por profesores bastante desequilibrados mentalmente). Además realizan muchas clases de relleno para mantenerte en el mismo nivel y no pasarte al siguiente porque no tienen espacio en la sala, muchas veces estás en clases con personas que tienen un nivel de inglés más bajo que el tuyo, lo cual te estanca y no te permite avanzar, es un muy buen negocio para ellos. Sólo rescato que es la única escuela donde realmente encuentras personas de diversas nacionalidades y realizan muy buenas actividades posteriores a las clases. Pero académicamente hablando y comparación a los precios con las otras escuelas, no lo recomiendo

Positive experience: Escuela con una amplia trayectoria en la enseñanza del Idioma. Se destaca por la variedad de nacionalidades que asisten a la escuela y las actividades sociales de los lunes y viernes. Tiene buena reputación en la ciudad por su anterior administración. Actualmente la nueva administración no ha sido cuidadosa con la elección de los nuevos profes y muchos estudiantes manifiestan inconformidad de la metodología de enseñanza.

While I cannot compare LLC to other schools, I can say for sure that they have setthe bar very high. Fantastic experience: I lived in Ireland for 4 months and I think it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was supposed to leave one month later as I did because, unfortunately, I had to run away and travel back to my country on late March because of the virus outbreak but I would have liked to spend more time there, at least to finish my course at LLC and have the possibility to say goodbye to everybody properly. By the way, Alan and Deirdre have been managing very well since the first day of lockdown until now in order find the best solution for everyone for our unfinished courses. LLC is an excellent language school to improve English with very competent and friendly teachers. Especially, I’d like to thank Stephen, who was my teacher in B2 class, because I think I had the greatest improvement while I was studying with him. He’s lessons had always been interesting and exciting, basically never boring and probably the best thing is that he always cares about his students and he always does his best. LLC isn’t simply an English school as it feels like a second home to me. I met so many people from all around the world: Brazilians, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Omani, Saudi… And I love to keep in touch with them. I had the possibility to socialise a lot also because of the afternoon activities organised by LLC… a special thank to Susan and her craziness, her smiles, her patience with all of us. I’d like to come back some day… at least to cross our path once more. Who knows? At the moment, I’m sure that I’ll come back as soon as this awful worldwide situation is over to travel around Ireland to see all the places I couldn’t visit before leaving because of the virus. Obviously, I’ll come by... I'll come back to Limerick and to LLC to greet all of you, Alan, Susan, Deirdre, Irfan, teachers and my host family.
