Negative experience: Terrible service! The staff are rude and don’t assist students properly. Especially the manger I think he is Japanese and also his wife Tamara, She also works as manager she is the same They are terrible i don’t know how they are working as managers!!!

Positive experience: die Sprachschule ist mit vielen Smartboards ausgestattet und alle Mitarbeitenden sind sehr nett. Es gibt eine große Sonnenterasse, die wir im August auch jeden Tag genießen durften. Die organisierten Aktivitäten (Stadtführung und Pubabend) waren gut organisiert und haben zum Vernetzen eingeladen. Ein paar Klassenräume hatten leider kein Fenster. Zum Thema grüne Sprachschule: Einige Lehrer kamen trotzdem jeden Tag mit Papierstapeln und es gab leider zu wenige Tassen und kein Besteck, welches One-Way-Geschirr Nutzung gefördert hat. Ein bisschen mehr Besteck und Geschirr wäre durchaus sinnvoll.

Negative experience: I took the English for Proficiency Level course and was completely disappointed. The level of the material (which was from public websites) was not C2. As an example, we were given a fill-in-the-blank exercise from a Cranberries song and played broken telephone, all of which were well below C2 level. All of us attending the course were teachers, so we could detect the teacher's lack of teaching skills. She moved from one activity to another without much sense, and the only thing she had to offer was the fact that she was a native speaker. The academy's website confirms my suspicions: the teacher is a journalist and marketing specialist, not a professional teacher, so she cannot teach what she does not know. I will not return.

Fantastic experience: I have no words to describe the amazing experience I had in this school, I only stayed 2 months at Atlantic School but what I saw and learned was incredible, excellent teachers, excellent school, excellent organization, congratulations to everyone, highly recommended for those who want to study English, but without stress. Fantastic experience: Wow! I really enjoyed every minute here. It was an intense but also very interesting and instructive week with Erasmus Staff Mobility. The teachers I had (Purva and Kevin) understood to make it an exciting language course with a lot of (inter)activity without overtaxing us. I learned a lot about language, people, culture,... Big recommendation!

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst language school in Galway. Can barely be called a school. Run entirely for profit, the long-term students don't learn anything because they only focus on Erasmus students. Teachers aren't treated well either. Run far away.

Fantastic experience: Ho appena terminato un'esperienza Erasmus staff di una settimana e sono più che soddisfatta. Il metodo di insegnamento è ottimo, la mia insegnante estremamente disponibile, professionale e empatica. In una sola settimana ho davvero migliorato il mio inglese e le mie capacità di presentare in inglese a livello professionale, molto più di quanto pensassi. Ottima organizzazione e tutto lo staff ti fa sentire a casa.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic school! The teachers here are experienced, hardworking & enthusiastic. Lessons are carefully planned and delivered in a clear and fun way, with empathy a primary focus. The academic office and reception staff are also great! Super helpful and kind, consistently going out of their way to help students wherever they can.

Negative experience: This language school for only Brazilians and Europeans. There was even a separate staff for Brazilians. Instructors who are teaching English changed frequently without notice, and the quality continued to drop. In particular, the JAPANESE MAN in charge of the HOMESTAY was extremely rude. The homestay host I was assigned to was not home during the weekend and was not properly cleaned or prepared foods. I gave feedback to the Japanese staff, but the only thing that came back was a bad attitude telling me not to complain. I wouldn't choose this langauge school NEVER AGAIN

Negative experience: Teachers change every week and sometimes they repeat the lessons. You have good teachers and others not at all. Tak, the guy responsible of accomodation is not comprehensive and if you want to change accomodation because your flatmate disturbs you or the accomodation is not good or far from the centre you will need to pay for it ‍♂️ Sure you have better and cheaper options, for me it was a waste of money. The only worth it thing is that you will meet nice and lovely people there.

Negative experience: The organisation of the academy is very bad, there are some very good teachers and others who don't organise their classes. I tried to move to another flat and Tak, was not at all understanding with the situation.

Fantastic experience: I spent 3 months in Galway, they were great months, I met a lot of people from different parts of the world. I studied at the Atlantic School in the General English course, I recommend this school. The people are super helpful and the teachers are really good. An experience that will remain in my heart.

Fantastic experience: I had such a nice and educational time there, Olive is a great teacher and so kind!

Negative experience: The worst place to learn English. I wanted my wife to learn it, and she got 20 weeks of general English, but this place is only for visa takers to live in Ireland, they don't follow a proper teaching structure, and professors change very often from class to class on daily basis, so you will never get a continuous lesson with the same professor, which is a shame, cos it is hard to progress and learn. Also they do not cover a lot of grammar, which is in my opinion the root of language. Nearly 2000 euros thrown in the rubbish and a waste of her time and effort. Very frustrating, but if you have enough money to throw away and want a student visa to live and work in Ireland, that is the way to go :)

Positive experience: Aquí he pasado unas de mis mejores semanas y he conocido a un montón de personas de otras culturas. Hay muy buen ambiente y las clases de inglés general están bien. Como punto a mejorar podrían ofrecer actividades por las tardes más elaboradas.

Fantastic experience: A escola oferece cursos de inglês básico, intermediário e avançado, de escrita, escuta e fala. No site da instituição é possível se localizar, encontrar locais de estadia, e outros. Quando vc se matricula eles disponibilizam um mapa para você visitar os pontos turísticos/ um guide e outros. E são classificados a partir de provas/exames realizados no final de sua temporada. Foi uma das melhores experiências que obtive durante o tempo que estive na Irlanda. Tive a oportunidade de conhecer pessoas/culturas de outros países, sotaques diferentes. Fiz diversas amizades durante esse tempo. É ótima oportunidade para quem busca contato com diferentes grupos.

Negative experience: Cerraron en marzo y no nos han devuelto el dinero. Les he reclamado varias veces, pero siempre dan excusas. Siguen abiertos, cobrando a otra gente y ingresando dinero y no pagan sus deudas. No han sido nada profesionales y además, se están quedando con dinero que no les pertenece puesto que no han presentado el servicio. Muy descontenta con su gestión y eso que en teoria era una acadèmia seria...

Fantastic experience: I studied here for about a week and I enjoyed every single second of it. I miss being in Galway and studying english there. The staff is amazing and I couldn’t ask for more. I seriously do recommend coming here!

Negative experience: Horrible, slow learning, generally bad teachers, work dynamics and horrific study. The level tests are bad, they value your knowledge with a written exam forgetting to speak and listen, I have gone through levels A1-A2-B1-B2 and I swear that the grammar is almost the same. My advice, if you want to learn English, meet with foreigners or Irish and find another school. If you want to waste your money and learn little, this is your school.

Hice una prueba de nivel y me pusieron con un grupo adecuado para mí. Había compañeros que llevaban más tiempo y me incorporé a su temario. La metodología es fantástica. Está diseñada para que interactúes con compañeros, de hasta seis nacionalidades en mi clase. Todos con el mismo objetivo, hablar inglés. Juegos, entrevistas y clases muy amenas lideradas por Dara, en mi caso. Un diez de profesor!! Organizan excursiones y eventos para ayudarte a vivir la experiencia de la mejor manera . Lo recomiendo para una semana y aún mejor si es para más tiempo . Por lo que comentamos con compañeros, todos estaban encantados con el curso

Fantastic experience: Ho passato due mesi fantastici. Struttura ottima, con uno staff “friendly” estremamente disponibile, oltre ad essere competente e sempre pronto ad ascoltare chiunque. Gli insegnanti? Beh che dire, sempre sopra la media, ottimi nelle spiegazioni, pazienti e sempre disponibili per eventuali richieste (correzione Curriculum Vitae o anche il solo rispiegare la lezione). Fantastic experience: I had one of the best experiences at Atlantic Language in Galway! I did a 4-month internship, from June to September and I enjoyed every single moment. The staff is lovely and they are all ready to help you and to answer at every question. The school offers English courses for every level and organizes a lot of afternoon activities which I totally recommend. My host family was simply amazing and they did their best to make me feel like at home. Whether in doubt, Atlantic Language is absolutely the right choice if you want to study and improve your English!

Fantastic experience: Despite the distance, I felt like at home. The receptionist was very kind with me and cleared up all my doubts. The teachers were competent and helped me improving my English during the three months I stayed there. I made new friends from all over the world and created memories that I will bring always with me!

Positive experience: The quality of teaching (did a Cambridge First course) is brillant but the organisation is really poor! I booked a "Meet and Greet" Arrangement at Dublin airport. A school representive should have been at the airport and take me to Galway. Nobody has been there so I called the emergency number I got. The guy on the line told me that he isn't responsible for this case and hang up. In school we had to deal everything by ourselves; for example we had to ask several times for the schedule for the exam. There were some other difficulties with the organisation as well... The staff is very friendly and as mentioned before the teachers are awesome so it's quite sad, that the organisation is so poor.

Fantastic experience: Sono stata in questa scuola per un tirocinio formativo da luglio a settembre 2018 e la mia esperienza e' stata piu' che positiva!!L'ambiente e' fantastico: entrare in contatto con studenti di diverse nazionalita' e' entusiasmante. I colleghi e i docenti sono persone eccezionali e tutti, davvero TUTTI, ti mettono a proprio agio e ti accolgono ogni mattina con un sorriso. Se avessi l'opportunita' tornerei qui altre 1000 volte!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful time at Atlantic Language in Galway. I studied there for six months and it has been a great experience! The family who hosted me was friendly and the house was located in the city centre, very close to the school. The teachers were competent and the staff was very kind. The school organizes lots of afternoon activities and excursions during the weekend, such as at the Cliffs of Moher or the Aran Islands. I had a great time in this school and I highly recommend it!

Positive experience: pros: + everyone is very friendly and helpful + the family package is a very good option for families to take their children with them + good program for children - they spend good time to the children + 2 times they help us organizing excursions + the international food day was very nice + nice café / nice buffet with quite cheap prices cons: - it depends a lot, which teacher you have during the lessons !!! some are very good (Katja), some are not the best (no name - I got treated like a school boy - please learn how to teach adults! ) some (new) friends stayed there also for 2 weeks - first week they had a very good teacher, the second week the lessons were not good - some teachers seem not be very good prepared: did they ever read the topic from book once before? we got handwritten photo copies ! (are you serios for that price?) ... - the equipment of some (not every) class rooms is inadequate (no beamer, no Laptop ...) - no multi-media lessons possible ! - the level of some students in the courses (B2, C1) seemed not to be appropriate ! (our oral test was 1 min and we saw a woman who had to do the written test in a loud room with many people around ...) Summary: The employees and many/some/... teachers are very good prepared, friendly, polite and nice! Suggestions for improvement: Better euqipment, more lessons including multi-media equipement and more attention to categorization of the students to the language levels and the possiblity of a feedback after the course (for the teacher). Negative experience: A waste of time and money. The groups are done depending on the availability not the students' level. The classes were absolutely disappointing. Maybe it's an option for beginners not for anyone else.

Negative experience: Ich war vom vom 15.juli bis 28.juli in Galway an der atlantic school. Um 8.00Uhr mussten wir einen Test machen. Speaking und writing. Es war ein Rissen kaos. Es war so laut, dass wir uns gar nicht konzentrieren konnten. Der Speaking Test hat genau 2 min gedauert und anhand von den 2 Minuten haben Sie meinen Level bestimmt. Den writing Test durfte ich gar nicht fertig schreiben. Das beste kommt noch, ich hatte einen 30 plus Kurs gebucht aber da waren noch 21 Jährige noch dabei und manche konnten fast kein Englisch. Also totale Verarschung. Manche Zimmer haben nicht einmal Fenster. Wir mussten zu viert einen Tisch teilen. In denen 2 Wochen habe ich 1 mal Grammatik gelernt. Die Nachmittags Stunden waren noch schlimmer. Die gute Lehrerin hatte sich nie vorbereitet. Für 4 Personen gab es immer einen A4 Blatt. ich kamm mir vor wie im Kindergarten. Ich musste 2 Stunden in der Nacht auf meinem Zimmerschlüssel warten und das beim Regen.

Negative experience: I'm still going to school until August. I can't understand their action. When Asian or Brazilian tell some problem to school about teacher or calss, school didn't resolve it. I want to resolve problem, so I contacted to employee who manage student. and then I requested my teacher to help me, but Nothing has changed But if European tell something, school immediately resolve problem. Many friend feel this situation. After I and my schoolmate excluding European went to school few months, we lost satisfaction about school. They aren't interested even if I didn't go to school because of this situation. I think shool doesn't have a lot of teacher.

Fantastic experience: Atlantic School Galway is a great place, with great teachers, awesome atmosphere in the heart of Galway. I have really enjoyed my time here, they make the lesson interesting, while we are having fun, we are also learning new things. Fantastic experience: I studied in Atlantic in 2015 and I loved all teachers and staffs. All them very supportive with anything what students needed at that time. Besides the general English that I took in the mornings, at afternoon everybody could have some extra classes about pronunciation, vocabulary or job to hel0 develops more and more the language. Looking forward to coming back to lovely and friendly Galway.

Fantastic experience: At Atlantic School I found great English Teachers, an excellent infrastructure and staff, including a Portuguese speaker who can help Brazilians. This is important at the beginning of our journey. At Atlantic I could participate in several extra activities in the afternoon and of course I made plenty of new friends. In my opinion it was a perfect choice.

Fantastic experience: Scuola fantastica ho imparato davvero tanto, insegnanti attenti e disposti al dialogo. Ci tornerei subito.

Negative experience: Sus puntos positivos: tienen unas buenas instalaciones y actividades para los estudiantes que hace que estés a gusto en su academia. El trato y atención es muy bueno. Una gran mayoría de profesores imparten correctamente el contenido. Puntos de mejora importantes: Para los que van a estudiar varios meses puede que esté bien, pero incluso considero que van muy lentos en impartir el temario. Se pasan muchas horas repitiendo y repitiendo lo mismo que en ocasiones se hace aburrido. Inicialmente te hacen una prueba de nivel y te encuadran en un curso que ya se está impartiendo del A, B1, B2 o C1… en la lección que estén dando en la semana que te incorpores tu harás un contenido u otro. Por lo que es una lotería lo que te enseñaran. En función de las semanas que estés veras las lecciones que se estén impartiendo en ese momento, por lo que veras muy poco contenido, nada intensivo. Por lo tanto no lo recomiendo en absoluto para aquellos que quieran hacer una estancia inferior a dos meses. Conclusión es que no tienen adaptada su metodología de enseñanza para estudiantes de corta estancia. Expuse a la dirección la situación y admitieron que no era adecuado para los que vamos pocas semanas. También admitieron que deberían de realizar cursos específicos para aquellos que van pocas semanas y dar más contenido. Lo consideraran para los próximos años, Así que os comparto mi experiencia para evitar que caigáis en el mismo error. Eso si aceptan estudiantes para una semana, a mi parecer fuera de lugar.

Fantastic experience: Studying in Atlantic Language Galway changed my life. It was a lifetime experience. I started at elementary and I ended up working for them!! The Staff is great, helpful and professional. The social activities organised by the school are real fun and allows you to interact and meet new friends and different cultures. ALLÍ HABÍA GENTE CON MUCHO MÁS NIVEL QUE SE ABURRÍA Y GENTE QUE NO SABÍA DECIR UNA FRASE EN INGLÉS, SINO MÁS BIEN EN ESPANGLISH. LA BUENA VOLUNTAD DE LOS PROFESORES QUE HE TENIDO HA SUPLIDO LA CARENCIA DE PROACTIVIDAD DEL STAFF DE LA ACADEMIA, QUE NO HAN DADO SOLUCIONES A LAS NECESIDADES QUE LES HE PLANTEADO, SIN NINGÚN TIPO DE CINTURA PARA ADAPTARSE A LAS NECESIDADES DE LOS ALUMNOS. DEL APARTADO DE BUSINESS ENGLISH HE DE DECIR QUE EN NINGÚN CASO LAS DOS SEMANAS ESTUVIERON ESTRUCTURADAS PARA FACILITAR EL APRENDIZAJE Y EL PRESENTARSE AL EXAMEN "BULATS". EL PROFESOR SE ENTERÓ DE QUE ESTABA MATRICULADA DE DICHO EXAMEN EL VIERNES DE LA PRIMERA SEMANA LO CUAL RESULTA PARADÓJICO SINO LAMENTABLE CUANDO PAGAS MUCHO DINERO Y SACRIFICAS TUS VACACIONES PARA HACER ESTA TIPO DE CURSOS EN EL EXTRANJERO. DESDE LUEGO NO RECOMENDARÍA LA ACADEMIA EN NINGÚN CASO.

Negative experience: LA ACADEMIA ES PERFECTA PARA QUE GANEN DINERO PERO NO PARA APRENDER INGLÉS DE MANERA INTENSIVA, ENTRE OTRAS COSAS PORQUE SU RITMO DE APRENDIZAJE ES MUY LENTO,,,,,, COMO PARA ESCOLARES OLVIDANDO QUE QUIENES VAMOS ALLÍ SOMOS GENTE ADULTA. COMPAÑEROS/AS ME CONTABAN QUE EN LOS PRIMEROS NIVELES TE INSISTEN EN ENSEÑARTE LAS PARTES DEL CUERPO,,,,,,, POR FAVOR ¡¡¡¡ EL PROBLEMA DE LOS ESPAÑOLES NO ES TANTO DE GRAMÁTICA QUE SUELE SER DE MUY BUEN NIVEL, COMO DE LA CONVERSACIÓN,PRONUNCIACIÓN. MI EXPERIENCIA CON UN INTENSIVO HA SIDO MALA PORQUE EN DOS SEMANAS HEMOS TRATADO EL PRESENT PERFECT, PRESENT CONTINUOUS Y EL PAST SIMPLE, Y NO ES QUE LLEVARA DEMASIADAS EXPECTATIVAS, SIMPLEMENTE ESPERABA QUE MIS NECESIDADES DE APRENDIZAJE FUERAN ATENDIDAS Y UNA VEZ ACABADO MI CURSO EN LA ESCUELA SIENTO QUE AÚN NO SABEN CUALES SON MIS NECESIDADES COMO ALUMNO. DE LA PARTE DE NEGOCIOS,,,,, NI HABLO, UN DESASTRE PARA ALGUIEN QUE LLEVA AÑOS EN EL MUNDO LABORAL. LA VERDAD, DESDE MI EXPERIENCIA, ES QUE NO CUMPLEN LO QUE DICE EL PROGRAMA PARA EL QUE TE INSCRIBES. UN INTENSIVO EN NINGÚN LUGAR PUEDE SER UN TEMA POR SEMANA COMO EN LA ACADEMIA DE TU BARRIO.
